DTC supplies forged Weldolet fittings manufactured according to ASME B16.11 and MSS SP-97 standards. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, Weldolet provides reinforced butt weld branch connections for high-pressure industrial piping systems.
A Weldolet is a type of forged branch outlet fitting designed to create a reinforced branch connection between a main pipe and a smaller branch pipe. It uses a butt weld connection, allowing the branch pipe to be welded directly to the outlet fitting for a strong and permanent joint.
The specially designed contoured base of the Weldolet matches the curvature of the run pipe, providing excellent reinforcement and reducing stress concentration around the branch connection.
Compared with conventional fabricated branch connections, Weldolets offer improved reliability, easier installation, and better flow performance.
