DTC‑SOCKOLET‑SS Series
DTC supplies forged Sockolet fittings manufactured according to ASME B16.11 standards. Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel, Sockolet provides reliable socket weld branch connections for high-pressure piping systems in oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial applications.
A Sockolet is a type of forged branch outlet fitting designed to create a reinforced branch connection from a main pipe to a smaller branch pipe. It features a socket weld connection where the branch pipe is inserted into the outlet socket and welded securely.
Compared with traditional welded branch connections, Sockolet fittings provide better reinforcement, improved stress distribution, and easier installation, especially for small diameter high-pressure piping systems.
DTC manufactures and supplies forged Sockolet fittings according to ASME B16.11, MSS SP-97, and customer specifications. Available materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel for various industrial applications.
The forged body design provides additional reinforcement around the branch connection, improving mechanical strength.
The socket design allows easy alignment and reliable welding of the branch pipe.
Sockolets are commonly used in high-pressure and high-temperature piping systems.
The forged outlet design requires less space compared with conventional welded fittings.
Available in multiple materials to meet different pressure, temperature, and corrosion requirements.

A Sockolet is a forged branch outlet fitting with a socket weld connection used to connect a branch pipe to a main pipeline.
Sockolet uses a socket weld connection and is mainly used for smaller branch pipes, while Weldolet uses a butt weld connection and is suitable for a wider size range.
Sockolets are commonly manufactured according to ASME B16.11 and MSS SP-97 standards.
Common materials include ASTM A105 carbon steel, ASTM A182 F304/F316 stainless steel, and alloy steel grades.
